Who may apply for a library card?
Anyone who lives within Okaloosa County may receive an initial library card at no charge. Walton County, Santa Rosa County, and Alabama residents are charged $35 annually.

A card issued at any Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative library (Crestview, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Mary Esther, Niceville, and Valparaiso) is valid at all six member libraries. OCPLC libraries are funded by the member cities and the Board of County Commissioners.

Photo ID, proof of current street address (such as driver’s license, voter registration, or utility bill) and contact telephone numbers are required to get a library card.

Parents may apply for library cards for their school-aged children and are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards. Students with a current driver’s license may apply for their own card.
