Councilmember Benjamin J. Iannucci, III, is the newest member of the Crestview City Council. He was appointed on April 7, 2010 to fill an unexpired term.
Mr. Iannucci is originally from Stratford, Connecticut where he graduated from Stratford High School in 1993. He attended Clarkson University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In 2003, Mr. Iannucci joined the Air Force and was commissioned after graduating from Officer Training School in March of 2004. Councilmember Iannucci’s first service assignment was the Air Force Research Laboratory
(AFRL) at Eglin AFB here in northwest Florida. After a short tour of duty to Randolph AFB in Texas, he returned to Eglin AFB to serve as an engineer for the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office
(AFSEO) where he remains today as a civilian working as a Flutter Engineer.
Mr. Iannucci moved to Crestview in December 2006. He finished his active duty military career in September 2007. He now also serves as a Reservist with the 556th RED HORSE Squadron at nearby Hurlburt Field as a Project Engineer.
He currently serves as a city representative to the
Okaloosa-Walton Transportation Planning Organization, Okaloosa
Economic Development Council, Northwest Florida League of Cities,
and the Okaloosa Library Cooperative.
Personal
Information
The Iannucci’s have three children: Benjamin James Iannucci, IV,
Natalia Jean Iannucci, and Michael Wilson. Councilmember Iannucci is a passionate athlete, participates in many athletic competitions, and is a coach at various youth and adult sports activity events. Mr. Iannucci is currently working on his Master of Aeronautical Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is expected to complete that effort by the end of the year 2009. Mr. Iannucci teaches Leadership Development and has created his own Roller Hockey League, known as the Emerald Coast American Hockey Alliance.
Personal Note
I am an active person, I do not sit still well, and I am motivated by this need to participate. I lead when leading is needed and I listen when listening is needed. I speak for others in their concerns and I represent others in their endeavors. Ask me and you will get my honest answer. I believe in leadership and I do not give up!
