Bob Allen - Group 2 
Robert J. “Bob” Allen was sworn in to fill an elected City Council position in April of 2007.

Mr. Allen is a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and command pilot, a graduate of United States Air Force pilot training, Ursinus College (Collegeville, Pennsylvania - 1962 - B. S. in Mathematics and Education), and of the Graduate School of Administration at Capital University (Columbus, Ohio - 1981 - M.P.A.). In addition to aircrew duties, Mr. Allen gained considerable supervisory and managerial experience while in uniform. After retirement from the USAF, he served the Defense Construction and Supply Center (at Columbus, Ohio) for thirteen years as senior strategic and emergency planner.



 

With his wife of 35+ years, Georgianna (“Gigi”), Mr. Allen located to Crestview in 1996. Since then he has been active in community affairs. He served for six years in the past as a member and chairman of the City of Crestview’s Local Planning Agency (LPA). Other past or current community service includes director and president of the Crestview Kiwanis Club, transportation and hospital chairman with the Old Spanish Trail Shrine Club, mentor and school advisory council member at Northwood Elementary School, and volunteer counselor and instructor in the AARP income tax program.

He currently serves as a city representative to the Okaloosa-Walton Transportation Planning Organization and the Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative.

The Allens have two children [Randall (Sue) Bundy, Esquire and Mary (Mac) McWhorter], four grandchildren [the Reverend Patrick (Rachel) Quinn, Shannon (Josh) Lewis, Dean, and Jan Bundy], and two great-grandchildren [Kaylee and Patrick Quinn].
