Councilmember Chip Wells was first elected to the City Council in 2003. He was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating high
school, he attended the University of Toledo and then joined the
Air Force. He was assigned to Eglin Air Force Base and moved to
Crestview in 1992. After retiring from the Air Force in 2001, he
entered the private work force.
Since his arrival in the area he has been involved in numerous
community activities including:

Antioch Elementary School PTO

Elementary School Advisory Council
- Richbourg Middle
School Parent Booster Organization
- Relay for Life
- Florida Special
Olympics
- Crestview City
League Baseball Coach
- Crestview City
League Basketball Coach
He currently serves as a city representative to the
Okaloosa-Walton Transportation Planning Organization, Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative, and is the city’s
representative on the Okaloosa Gas District Board of Directors.

Information
Mr. Wells is married to the former Dee Suarez and has two
children, Becky and Rick.
