Mrs. Roy is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School in Flintstone, Ga., in 1973, and earned a degree in Management from Chattanooga State College in Chattanooga, TN in 1977. She was a Department Store Buyer in Knoxville, TN and Chattanooga from 1977-1986. Ms. Roy joined the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store as a Retail manager in 1986 and was the District Manager from 1990-1995. From 1995 until she took the office of City Clerk she was the Retail Manager at the Crestview Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Mrs. Roy has served as the Secretary for the Crestview Kiwanis Club since 1996, and served as President from 2001-2002. She has been a member of the Crestview area Chamber of Commerce since 1995, served on the board for three years and as an officer for three years. She is currently on the Board until 2013 and serving as Chairman of the Ambassador Committee. She served as Chairman of the Military Affairs Committee from 2007-2009. She was the Honorary Commander of the 96th Communication Group, and Honorary Commander of the 919th Medical Group. Ms. Roy supported Spouses of Deployed Troops night out, local BRAC Committee and hosted Gallant Unit Citation Award Dinner for Duke Field. She and her husband Mike were recently honored with the lifetime James E. Plew Community Ambassador Award from Eglin air force base. Mrs. Roy is the daughter of Mr. William A. and Kathleen Miller of Crestview, is married to Mr. Mike Roy, and attends First united Methodist Church.
