The Administrative Services Director is a direct representative of the City Council in the operation of the affairs of the City. Divisions overseen by the Director consist of Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, Building Inspections, CRA/Main Street Program, and Leisure Services (Parks and Recreation, Animal Control, and the Robert L. F. Sikes Public Library). 

Michael Wing was chosen by the City Council in 2005 for his current position as the Administrative Assistant to the City Council and the Director of the Administrative Services Department. He has been employed by the City for 15 years.
