Ralph Everage


Background
Assistant Fire Chief Ralph Everage, Jr. has been with the City of Crestview Fire Department for over 20 years, starting his career as a professional firefighter in 1991. Prior to that, Ralph was a Crestview volunteer firefighter for seven years and an Explorer for three years. During his career, he has advanced through the operations division of the department and has held the ranks of firefighter, lieutenant, captain, and senior captain. In January 1995, he was promoted to the rank of Battalion Chief and was a Fire Inspector until August 1995. Since August 1995, Ralph has served as the department’s Training Chief - in charge of training, safety, and infection control.

Education
Chief Everage earned a Bachelor’s degree in Resources Management from Troy University and an Associate’s degree from Okaloosa Walton Junior College. He is certified by the State of Florida as a Fire Instructor 3, Fire Officer 1, Fire Safety Inspector 1, and Pump Operator, and is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association, the National Fire Protection Association, and the International Society of Fire Service Instructors.

Family
He is married and has two children.
