My Government Online (MGO) Software Launch

INSPECTIONS CAN ONLY BE SCHEDULED BY THE PERMIT HOLDER FOR PERMITS ENTERED INTO MGO. ALL OTHER PERMIT INSPECTIONS WILL NEED TO BE SCHEDULED USING THE EXISTING METHODS (EMAIL, TELEPHONE, ETC.).

The Building Permits and Inspections office has implemented a new online permitting and inspections software, MyGovernmentOnline!

All permit applications, payments and inspection scheduling will be done through this new system. This software will enhance the permit application submittal, plan review and inspection experience for contractors and residents.

Contractors and residents have the ability to:

  • Apply for building permits and pay online
  • Submit plans, surveys and documents "paperless" in PDF format
  • Track application progress, up to permit issuance
  • View and print copies of documents received from city staff any time
  • Request inspections or temporary/permanent power online
  • View and print completed inspection reports
  • Receive real-time e-mail notifications when an inspection is completed
Create your free customer portal account here. Feel free to download any of the below informational documents regarding using MyGovernmentOnline:

Please note that any documents required with an application, such as floor plans, site plans or surveys must be uploaded in PDF format when submitting your application.

When requesting inspections online, the policy will remain that you must submit your inspection request prior to 8:00 AM to have a same-day inspection performed. Our inspectors will enter inspection results in the field to ensure you will receive your inspection results via email and the customer portal in near real-time.

For assistance pertaining to the use of MyGovernmentOnline software, please call the technical support line at 1-866-957-3764, option 1. The agents can assist with any software related questions.

ALL PLAN REVIEW FEES WILL BE DUE AT THE TIME OF PERMIT APPLICATION

NOTE - CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION

Commencing April, 2022, ALL contractors will be required to register through the MGO contractor registration portal. All documentation such as licenses, hold harmless, workman's comp, insurance, etc. must be uploaded in the MGO portal.
